Properly trained staff is critical for successful health inspections and serving safe food. The PA Food Code requires certification of food service staff for all food service establishments in Pennsylvania. Recent updates require that the person in charge be a certified food protection manager from an accredited program such as ServSafe®.
Additionally, at least one certified person must be onsite during all operating hours. We help you meet and maintain this requirement by providing regularly scheduled classes at our home office or providing private or public onsite classes at your facility. Participants will learn about food-borne illness and how to prevent food contamination.
The interactive and engaging class based on many real-life scenarios and examples will ensure participants know how to properly receive, store, prepare, cook, cool, and serve food safely. Proper hygiene, cleaning, and sanitizing within the facility are also covered.
ServSafe® Manager Certifications are valid for 5 years.
